Welcome to the Official Website of the South River Police Department
Due to the restrictions in place, we are unable to hold our annual Bicycle Rodeo & Public Safety Day. However, we've come up with an alternative - a Virtual Bicycle Safety Rodeo & Coloring Contest.
As part of this program, children between the ages of 3 and 13 years have the chance to participate in a coloring contest. The first 300 entries received will each receive a coupon for a free treat from one of three local businesses that are partnering with us to sponsor this program. We'll also be giving away 10 brand new bikes to the coloring contest winners.
Between now and June 15th, we'll be posting a series of bicycle safety videos hosted by South River Police Officers on this page and on our social media pages. The goal is to virtually teach South River's children the bicycle safety lessons they would normally learn about at our annual Bicycle Rodeo & Public Safety Day. Parents are asked to share and watch these videos with their kids. All entries will receive a bicycle safety certificate, indicating the participant has learned the proper safe riding techniques.
To enter the coloring contest, simply print the coloring sheet at the bottom of this page, have your child color it, and submit it by regular mail or email to the addresses indicated on the sheet.
