(9/7/2024) As part of National Seat Check Saturday, the South River Police Department will be hosting a free Child Safety Seat Check event. Stop by South River Police Headquarters (61 Main Street) on Saturday, September 21st between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Officers who are nationally certified technicians will be on hand to inspect and assist with proper installation of child safety seats for any age - newborn through youth booster. (9/7/2024) The South River Food Bank is seeing an increased need for assistance. In order to help them continue to assist residents in need, the South River Police Department is hosting a “Cram the Cruiser” food drive to help keep their shelves stocked. Donations of non-perishable food items as well as monetary donations will be accepted at South River Police Headquarters (61 Main Street) on Saturday, September 21st between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. (4/11/2024) The South River Police Department is reminding residents about the Middlesex County Special Needs Registry. A joint effort between the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office and the South River Police Department, this free voluntary program provides useful information to first responders in order to better assist those with a mental or physical disability during an emergency or police encounter. (4/4/2024) As part of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 27th, South River Police Department is asking residents to "spring clean" their medicine cabinets. (1/31/2023) The South River Police Department is conducting an information session through the South River Office on Aging to educate older residents about fraud and scams that may target them. To help our efforts, click here to download the Elder Fraud Brochure then print and share it with older neighbors and family members who may not otherwise see it. Copies can also be obtained at Police Headquarters and through the South River Office on Aging.
