(11/25/2023) The South River Food Bank typically sees an increased need for assistance this time of year. In order to help them continue to assist residents in need, the South River Police Department is hosting a “Cram the Cruiser” food drive to help keep their shelves stocked. Donations of non-perishable food items can be dropped off in the collection bin in the lobby of South River Police Headquarters (61 Main Street) from now until December 20th. (11/20/2023) The South River Police Department is partnering with the South River Council of Congregations to bring a Holiday Angel Tree to South River. This is the perfect opportunity to make a less fortunate child's holiday season a little brighter. Interested in helping? simply visit the tree in the lobby of Police Headquarters (61 Main Street), select a gift recipient of your choice from the tree, shop for the child based on their preferences, then drop the gift(s) off by December 15th. The South River Police Department will then arrange to have the child receive the gift(s) from Santa! (10/3/2023) As part of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 28th, South River Police Department is asking residents to check their medicine cabinets. (1/31/2023) The South River Police Department is conducting an information session through the South River Office on Aging to educate older residents about fraud and scams that may target them. To help our efforts, click here to download the Elder Fraud Brochure then print and share it with older neighbors and family members who may not otherwise see it.
